Outdoor education center news !

Even while construction of the new cabins is underway, we are busy preparing the Outdoor Education programs and rentals for the upcoming seasons.

Again this year, Camp YMCA Kanawana has partnered with the CSDM in order to provide an outdoor experience to students from the island of Montreal. Furthermore, we will have the opportunity to welcome school groups from other Canadian provinces who wish to discover Québec culture, its landscape, and the French language. As well, in keeping with the Y’s community initiatives, we will also welcome internal YMCA groups.

International Language Camp Program

In collaboration with the Language School of The YMCAs of Québec, YMCA Kanawana is giving campers aged 13 to 16 the opportunity to take English courses in a summer camp setting. It’s a great way to take advantage of our wide variety of fun and stimulating outdoor activities while learning or improving your English. The classes will be run by our dynamic and certified teachers during normal interest group periods. The rest of the day will unfold like a regular camp day under the supervision of a Kanawana counsellor.
