KEYSTONE FINALS RACE CANCELLED
Due to the economy and a low number of signups for this year's Keystone Nationals,  the event has been cancelled.  The event sponsors will be returning everyone's 2010 Registration check immediately for the full amount you paid for the event.

CERVINIA GETS NEW SIX-PACK
Italy’s Cervinia, which is connected by piste and lifts to Zermatt in Switzerland, has invested 11.5 million Euros in a new six-seat chairlift from the top of Cretaz to access an expanded Cretaz sector.  The new lift was largely funded by the local government which is the major shareholder in the ski resort.

WHISTLER OFFERS GPS UNITS FOR KIDS
Whistler is the latest resort to fit kids with GPS units providing real-time tracking for additional safety while giving their kids a chance to track their day on the mountains   It’s available to kids taking the Whistler Kids, Ride Tribe and private ski school programs  and makes it possible to locate them on the mountain at any time, while also recording information such as lifts used, runs explored , average speed, vertical achieved, number of trails and total distance skied. The tag uses cellular technology via a Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) network and transmits information which is collected by a server, which  pinpoints a guest’slocation.

DENVER SKI TRAIN DELAYED UNTIL NEXT SKI SEASON
Due to contractual dificulities with Amtrack over track use, Denver’s renewed ski train now does not plan to operate until the 2010-2011 ski season.
